10 wedding trends – 2021

It's time to take a look at the top bridal trends of 2021!

Designers showed this time both romantic outfits of delicate lace, richly embroidered dresses with floral appliques, tender feathers and pearls, lush tulle skirts, as well as alternative wedding looks and minimalistic dresses using solid colors and neat lines. We've collected up the top 10 bridal fashion trends of this season.

Multi-layered skirts

Wedding dresses with tiered skirts made of dozens of layers of delicate tulle, reminiscent of royal ball gowns, will adorn the brides' fragile figures this year. Layered skirts appeared in collections of many brands: Zuhair Murad combined rows of tulle of various shapes and sizes, Óscar de la Renta played with color, and Monique Lhuillier turned wedding dresses into real works of art – delicate skirts resembled an airy canvas of fresh flowers.

Voluminous sleeves

The trend for voluminous sleeves has come into wedding fashion as well. Airy sleeves and off-shoulders have become the main elements of the looks. In our Secret Garden collection, they are the main “highlight” of the bride’s image. Even in the avant-garde collection of Vera Wang there was a place for sensual and romantic voluminous details.

Cape

Designers continue to experiment with wedding veils, offering all sorts of alternative options. Next season, the cape remains popular - a hybrid of a veil and wedding coat. Galia Lahav showed white laconic capes with a masculine shoulder line, Berta Bridal - sheer models, decorated with feathers and pearls, and Marchesa combined the trend for translucency and voluminous masculine shoulders in their collection. Meanwhile, Zuhair Murad combined cape and bridal gowns into one.

Clean color and clear lines

Perfect fit, clean colors and graceful lines are the basis of classic wedding dresses in the spirit of Meghan Markle and Carolyn Bassett-Kennedy. Minimalist wedding outfits never get boring and even after 50 years they will also look stylish in wedding photographs. The most interesting options can be found in the Amsale, Carolina Herrera, Total White, Lela Rose and Anne Barge collections.

Bows

From year to year, bows are present in every designer's wedding collection. And the next season 2021 is no exception to the rule. For example, Carolina Herrera tightened a magnificent dress with a silk bow at the waist, Galia Lahav offered a non-banal version of the wedding look with asymmetrical bows on corset, and Marchesa decorated the dress with a delicate bow, falling from the shoulders.

Lace patterns

In the new season, most brands have built their bridal collections using fine lace, delicate embroidery and floral appliques. Luxurious floral patterns adorned the romantic Oscar de la Renta fitted dress, Monique Lhuillier used large prints on magnificent gowns, and Berta added a wedding veil to the guipure dress, richly decorated with lace.

Alternative to wedding dress

Connoisseurs of practicality feel excited about the new season, because in addition to lace looks with long trains and lush dresses, designers have shown alternative versions of wedding gowns. Thus, the number of laconic trouser suits, jumpsuits with a cape and snow-white sets consisting of skirts and a top has increased significantly. Each outfit will be appropriate not only during the wedding ceremony, but also in everyday life.

Audacious necklines

The elegance of the female figure, delicate collarbones and seductive décolleté never left anyone indifferent. So, in the new season, brands show their love for women with the help of deep V-necklines. Sensual bridal looks appeared in the Galia Lahav collection, Berta showed translucent, lavishly embroidered gowns with impressive cutouts, and Marchesa counterbalanced dramatic neckline with a romantic floral embroidered dress.

Pearls and feathers

Delicate decor in the form of tender feathers and pearls of different diameters will decorate in the next season both elegant formal dresses and provocative mini-dresses that are suitable for a wedding afterparty. You should look for unusual outfits with such decor in the collections of Zuhair Murad, Amsale, Lela Rose, Vera Wang and Wedding World.
